John V. Fleming joined The Baltimore Life Companies in 2007 as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Fleming oversees all aspects of the company’s sales and marketing program, including the company’s two sales divisions, advertising, community relations, and agent recruiting and training.

A veteran of more than 20 years in the life insurance industry, Fleming most recently served as Senior Vice President of Allianz Life Insurance Company of New York, where he was responsible for compliance, administration, operations, sales, marketing and recruiting support, including the integration of a multicultural sales and recruiting initiative.

He began his life insurance career soon after graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey, by joining MetLife as a sales agent. During his 23 year career with the company, Fleming’s office was named Regional Sales Office of the Year for three consecutive years, and ultimately received MetLife’s Atlantic Zone Office of the Year. Fleming was consistently ranked within MetLife’s top 50 Branch Managers in the nation during that time.

His career continued to develop by assuming roles as Director of Marketing, Assistant Vice President of Management Training and Development, National Recruiting Officer, and ultimately Vice President of Operations for the leading producing zone within MetLife’s career agency system.

A native of New Jersey, Fleming is active in NAIFA and GAMA. He holds life, health and variable licenses for New Jersey and non-resident for New York, as well as NASD series 6, 26, 7 and 24 registrations as a securities principal.
